THE TOP ADHD COACHES

In these uncertain times, several young adults, teens, and children face attention deficiency, anxiety, and other behavioral challenges.

An ADHD coach is a “life coach” particularly equipped to help with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) better organize their lives and make the most out of their activities.

There can be several reasons why an individual needs help in switching jobs or putting an end to chronic disorganization and tardiness, which have been hurting their productivity.

Top ADHD Coaches

Or perhaps a child needs help with finishing the heaps of homework. Or maybe someone looking to better themselves in areas like physical health, emotional development, social skills, economic planning, the workplace, and need counselled morale.

The solution, in each case, maybe to take assistance from an ADHD coach.

We talked with a few ADHD coaches, each with their own tailored style trying to help their clients overcome attention deficiency factors and foster emotional growth, and asked them what’s unique about their coaching and what has endorsed their massive success.

Do you think you or a coach that you know deserves to be featured as a top ADHD coach? If yes, then fill out this form and we will consider your application and get in touch with you for the next steps.

What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?

Like my clients, I am a multi-faceted person with many interests – I travel, go camping, attend conferences and festivals. I am always learning, coming up with new ways to conceptualize neurodivergence and related topics. For example, I recently attended the MAPs Psychedelics Conference in Denver and I am currently taking a 12 week course on the nervous system and somatic approaches. I receive different kinds of coaching. I blend learnings and realizations from my experiences, conversations, and psychedelic journeys to draw inspiration for coaching. My ongoing pursuit of learning helps me and my coaching evolve alongside my clients.

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

My experiences as a neurodivergent person has been crucial to my success in supporting others to step into their true neurodivergent selves. Having multiple neurodivergences and accompanying health issues – autoimmune disease, sleep disorder, addiction, chronic pain – I have been navigating the terrain of mental health for well over a decade. As an undiagnosed ND person, it was very tough to get the support I needed and I experienced many failures as I tried so many different solutions.

With these experiences in mind, I utilize the strengths of my neurodivergent mind to collaborate with clients to come up with creative, unique, sustainable and fun! solutions. Witnessing the transformations of my clients has been deeply gratifying and drives me to continue my mission of supporting neurodivergent people live fulfilling lives.

Kelly Biltz

Kelly is a Certified ADHD Teen Life Coach and teens are her jam!  She partners with high schoolers who need someone in their corner helping them establish skills and stay above ground with grades and assignments, and parents who want someone their teen will listen to. Kelly’s highest honor is being a mom to two awesomely unique (and opposite)  boys and a wife of 20+ years to Tim. She loves coaching high schoolers and enjoys the privilege of walking alongside high schoolers as they become young adults!

What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?

After my youngest son was diagnosed with combined ADHD many moons ago, I made it my life’s mission to help and support him in every single way I knew….even if that meant changing my parenting approach (which I did – Yikes!)…and my language (ouch – check that one off too!). I read and researched so much about ADHD, it literally became my full-time job!

I am in my “wheelhouse”, as helping high schoolers and partnering with families during these trying and crucial years is her calling. I focus on time management, planning, prioritizing, systems and self-care when I work with my teens. My goal is to see my clients thrive with ADHD and learn that, while life has its challenges, they can succeed and power through with the right systems, resilience and growth mindset.

What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?

I run an academic long coaching program with teens. I meet them where they are. Some are behind with their assignments, some are anxiety-ridden, some need support with social skills and others work with me so I can help them through the Jr. and Sr. years becoming more independent and preparing to leave home. My program involves private coaching, group coaching and parent meet-ups and can encompass social skills, Executive Function Skills, coping skills and Self Care- it is all-encompassing!

What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?

As someone who has had to learn to manage attention and deal with his own challenges, I help my clients understand themselves and how their minds work. To this end, I developed my Anatomy of Attention construct to help them regain control of their attention and move past barriers. They begin to understand that they are actually very efficient. The problem is that they are often not addressing some of the core fundamental issues. Using my construct, they can achieve what they are capable of faster, with less stress, and create the productive environments they need.

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

My success as a coach comes not from one single thing but, instead, from many dozens. It has been an incredible education over the years to do interviews with some of the foremost experts in the world on his podcast, Attention Talk Radio, and his video channel, Attention Talk Video. I have interviewed world-renowned ADHD thought leaders such as Dr. Russell Barkley, Dr. Ned Hallowell, Dr. Anthony Rostain, and others. My success as a coach comes from seeing people thrive in doing things the most natural way by building on existing systems that work.

What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?

I’m a woman with ADHD, so I have been where my clients are. I’ve gone from living in the constant state of chaos, overwhelm and under-performance that most adults with ADHD know too well, to a life of fulfillment & success. I help my clients start “firing on all cylinders” in all areas of life by uncovering how they work best as the foundation for practical, sustainable time management that enables them to perform at the level of their abilities and accomplish what they intend with ease and have more time and energy for what really matters most!

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

The single most important thing that has contributed to my success as a coach is the same thing that has contributed to my success in any area of life: learning to believe in myself. When I finally was able to uncover and learn to build upon and rely on my own unique strengths and tendencies (rather than always trying to improve my weaknesses), my whole world opened up. When you really understand yourself, how you work best, and what you need to have in place to be successful, and you can learn to embrace it, you unleash your own potential.

What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?

I help people embrace their ADHD to address the challenges and leverage their strengths. I blend traditional life coaching with executive function coaching to offer insight and growth along with tangible strategies for my clients. The blend of practical tools and personal insight gives clients multiple paths to create momentum in their life and create a new story for themselves.

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

I believe my coaching success comes from me really leaning into learning from my own life experiences, the good and the bad. I’ve fully embraced divergent interests including social issues, fostering a rich community, and career changes such as firefighting, economic consulting, and starting a community magazine. I know that life can be messy without a clear way forward, which is why I’m able to help my clients navigate new opportunities and challenges.

What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?

I help families understand and navigate ADHD and Anxiety without losing their minds. By employing a psychology background, a strengths-based approach, along with cutting-edge strategies from the field of neuroscience, I help clients tackle a wide range of issues, including emotional regulation, self-advocation, self -esteem and motivation.  I also address life skills such as communication styles, organization, time management and overwhelm. Coaching empowers my clients with the tools to overcome their challenges, leverage their strengths, achieve their goals and improve their family dynamic. My clients end up with a peaceful home, a closer relationship and a child who is set up for success with life skills, resilience and self-advocacy.

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

The single most important thing in my coaching maybe how I got here—I have lived every moment already and it’s why I got into this business. If you’re going to thrive in today’s crazy world, I  believe you need to bring your whole self to the table: your personality, your sense of humor, and most importantly, your heart. All of these elements brought me to start Parenting In Real Life, my parent and teen coaching. I’m a mom of two amazing kids, one of whom has struggled with ADHD, anxiety and depression. Watching this as a parent can be heartbreaking and feels singular.

I had nowhere to turn and I was totally overwhelmed. When we finally put the pieces together and got our daughter some help, everything changed for her. But I still didn’t have someone who could teach me how to parent more effectively. It was trial and error on the emotional dysregulation, the panic attacks, and the lack of executive functioning. There was no handbook. Now I am in the position to help parents and teens alike find calm in the chaos, connect gain self-esteem and bring joy back into the family dynamic.

I help clients find crystal clear focus and tether to what matters most to them. Overwhelm disappears as clients learn about the neuroscience behind motivation, behavior and emotional set points. Clients go ‘inward’ to build neuroplasticity and regain control of their time, priorities, boundaries and develop supportive systems, habits and routines to support their bullet-train brains.

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

The important things that contribute to my success have been to synergize the coaching moments with body-based awareness, neurochemistry, mechanism, and trauma-informed principles. ADHD high performers resonate with a strengths-based approach to life, learning and success. Clients develop their own unique hybrid approach to getting it all done and thrive with adequate resources.

What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?

My Coaching is rooted in you, the client, and whatever you need at any given moment. If that’s listening, I listen, if that’s teaching, I teach. I believe that authenticity and strength of the relationship is the number one key to success in coaching. I love this work and enjoy it immensely. I believe that you will too, even in the most challenging moments. The coaching process goes where you need it go, and from that perspective what’s different about me is nowhere near as important as what’s unique and interesting about you.

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

My success as a coach largely stems from two factors: my love for / belief in the necessity of this work, and my willingness to stay true to myself and to expect the same in others. I know myself and I know that I’m likely not the coach for every single person, and that’s ok! I follow what I value, what I believe is true, and the clients that find me and hold similar values and beliefs are set up for success from the beginning.

What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?

I will consider a person’s struggle with an ADHD lens of thought.  Many struggle with everyday life. ADHD can be more persistent regardless of the energy and effort one puts in.

I will listen out for language, working memory and executive functioning of the brain. These have an impact on many things such as decision making, regulation of emotions.

My hope for them is to hear that smile of clarity in their own voice; I allow them to process their thoughts, at their own pace. I am a passenger in their journey supporting them to feel proud and satisfied in their goals.

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

As a coach, using what is called the “I model” in coach training gives guidance in what I like to listen for in a person. With this tool, I will listen for what interests a person, what lights them up( ignites them) and Intuition- to trust their intuition more. These keywords are part of what makes up this model. They bring motivating factors.

The second model in my coach training that stuck for me was what’s called the Power of the Pause, a model in my training that helps us to pause our thoughts a bit and to explore how we might do that and why.

Patricia Sung

Patricia Sung is your encouraging and sarcastic BFF who tells the truth about ADHD. As an ADHD Coach for Moms & Entrepreneurs with ADHD, Patricia will show you how to understand your brain, lean into who you truly are, and use ADHD-friendly strategies to lower your stress and end the overwhelm.

When she’s not helping moms balance their home lives and efficiently grow successful, mission-driven businesses while juggling kids and mom life, you’ll find her exploring Houston’s culinary scene with her husband, planning their next family travel adventure, or curled up with a YA fiction novel way past her bedtime.

What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?

I start with what you, your family, and your business need to fit your picture of success. ADHD-friendly Time Management, Business Strategy + Implementation are my zones of genius! I started my first two businesses at just 12 years old. Add in 20+ years in real estate, banking, and teaching middle school, I have not only the tangible strategies but the innate gift to boost your confidence so you can hop off the hot mess express.

After working with hundreds of women with ADHD, I have a wealth of knowledge in how ADHD affects you, allowing me to see the patterns of hyperactive and inattentive ADHD quickly and easily to tailor your plan for exactly what you and your family need.

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

The single most important thing that makes me a compassionate and successful coach is that I have ADHD myself. I was diagnosed in college after going from honor roll student to nearly failing out and losing my scholarship. Navigating these personal obstacles gives me the inside scoop on creating a judgment-free zone, where moms feel comfortable being their whole selves – dirty dishes, and all.

What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?

Clients and colleagues have described me as ‘a creative instigator’, ‘creative catalyst’ and sometimes ‘the mother you actually listen to’ probably because most of my clientele range in age from Gen Z to Gen X and I am a Baby Boomer. Of course, I don’t tell my clients what to do. I’m more of a cross between a road buddy and a driving instructor. And don’t expect me to tell you where to go. My ‘zone of genius’ lies in asking questions that will help you unveil the destination of your heart’s true desires.

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

My cumulative experience as a human being on the planet. That would encompass my years as a theatre artist, yogini, stand-up comedian, playwright, having my heart broken numerous times, enduring sibling estrangement, watching family members of different generations struggle with mental illness, the experience of supporting both parents as they went through the dying process, marrying a man with ADHD, becoming the adoptive parent to a child with ADHD, becoming a certified ADHD coach, Creativity Coach, Mental Fitness coach, ICF accredited coach, life-long meditator, Theta healer, lover of chocolate and my ongoing challenge of navigating a reasonable relationship with carbohydrates in general.

What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?

I work with individuals, from students to adults, to improve results by managing ADHD struggles and building on natural strengths.   Building self-knowledge around how ADHD gets in the way, uncovering strengths, and developing strategies and skills increases success in academics, social settings, and employment. I am action-driven with a total ADHD understanding.  While there might be a big end goal…we start with much smaller goals …  and build on one success to fuel other successes.  I’m not “treating,” “curing,” or “fixing” people. I am helping them find the game plans that will allow them to maximize their natural born potential and thrive in a neurotypical world!

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

Building rapport and trust with clients is the most important thing.  Someone struggling, frustrated, anxious, and skeptical is like a person standing on one side of a door with a million locks.  Afraid to open it.  I let them know that I appreciate them for who they are and won’t judge them in any way.  I want to know them, their likes, and their interests.  I want them to feel that I see them as a whole person and not just a bundle of negative ADHD traits.  When they get this, it allows them to start unlocking the locks.  Opening the door. Coaching takes off.
