Setting Up Your Mind
to Beat Procrastination
(A Group Coaching Class)
Are you a procrastinator?
- Are you a chronic procrastinator?
- Is procrastination holding you back?
- Are you “shoulding” all over yourself? (It’s not flattering!)
- Do you live deadline to deadline? Is it wearing you out?
You’ve got to get things done!
Get the insight and mindset to resolve procrastination with intention.
- There is nothing more powerful than a change in mindset!
- Procrastinators appears to be unmotivated or lazy, but with our technology, we’ll prove they are not.
- There doesn’t appear to be a legitimate reason to procrastinate, but with the right lens, it’s clear there is. We’ll coach you past that reason.
- This workshop is about shifting your mindset. It will enable you to problem-solve around the self-regulation and working memory challenges of ADHD and to address five invisible obstacles that manifest as procrastination.
- Strategies have limits. Having the mindset to problem-solve is what you need when strategies fail.
- Learn to manage problems and don’t let them manage you.
This is not an academic seminar.
It’s an activation workshop!
So bring your procrastination lists
with you!
Why is this workshop revolutionary?
- We focus on setting your mind up to problem-solve.
- We use experiential learning that facilitates the “ahas” needed to shift your mindset.
- This workshop will transform your understanding of procrastination, moving from emotion to a practical approach.
- We’ll set up your mind to witness legitimate reasons that you procrastinate that can’t be explained by ignorant, appearance-based judgments.
- We use attention exercises so you can witness what is self-evident… that everything on your procrastination list is hard and there is a legitimate reason you put things off.
- You can expect significant conflict from your ego and from others who are unwilling to believe you are not flawed!
- Other programs prescribe that you “chunk” it down, be kind to yourself, be mindful, schedule time, set timers, get a motivation buddy, face your fears, don’t be a perfectionist, and work in sprints. These are emotionally based, symptomatic theories that don’t stick because they ignore the role a taxed working memory plays in procrastination and the need to confront and acknowledge what is ambiguous.
- We identify the core obstacles that block you from completing tasks (the why); we consider the core challenges of ADHD; and we coach you to problem-solve around them (the how).
Why Group Coaching?
- It is a cost-effective alternative to one-on-one coaching.
- Learning is enhanced with others who experience the same ADHD plight.
- The experience with others in the ADHD tribe will accelerate your realization and help you let go of projecting judgement back on yourself when comparing your insight with everyone else’s outside.
- Group coaching is a reasonable option for those who want to supplement medication with real-life usable problem-solving strategies OR those who would like to eliminate medication altogether.
